Brandon Newton, born on July 29, 1994, in Lancaster, South Carolina, is a Republican politician serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for District 45 since 2017. He earned Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees from the University of South Carolina Lancaster in 2014 and 2015, respectively, followed by a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina in 2016. Newton further obtained a Master of Business Administration from Winthrop University in 2019. Prior to his legislative role, he was active in student leadership, serving as Student Body President at the University of South Carolina Lancaster from 2014 to 2016.
