Melanee Hand is an elected official serving on the Los Alamos County Council since January 2022. With a background in construction, facility planning, land use development, and environmental compliance, Hand brings a wealth of experience to her role. She holds a master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor's degree in Environmental Design from the University of New Mexico. Hand has also been actively involved in various community boards, including the Parks and Recreation Board, Environmental Sustainability Board, and the Fuller Lodge Historical Advisory Committee.
