Matt Westmoreland is a dedicated public servant and educator with a strong background in history and community involvement. He holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Princeton University, which laid the foundation for his commitment to education and civic engagement. Matt began his career as a History Teacher at Atlanta Public Schools, where he worked to inspire and educate the next generation. His passion for community development led him to serve as Program Director at Horizons Atlanta, a nonprofit focused on supporting educational opportunities for underserved students. Currently, Matt serves as a Council Member for Post 2, At Large, on the Atlanta City Council, where he advocates for policies that enhance the quality of life for all Atlanta residents.
