Matt Koleszar is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party, serving as a representative in the Michigan House of Representatives from the 22nd district. First elected in November 2018, he successfully unseated incumbent Republican Jeff Noble and secured re-election in 2020. Following redistricting in 2022, Koleszar ran for the newly defined 22nd district, which encompasses Plymouth City, parts of Livonia City, Northville City, Plymouth Township, and Northville Township, and became its first representative. His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in History Teacher Education from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master's degree in English from Eastern Michigan University. Before his political career, he worked as a Social Studies and English teacher in the Airport Community School District.
