Maria Collett is a Greek-born American politician and a prominent member of the Democratic Party. She has been serving as a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate since 2019, representing the 12th District, which includes parts of eastern Montgomery County and southern Bucks County. Collett is distinguished as the first Greek American woman to serve in the Pennsylvania State Senate. Her educational background includes a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Drexel University. Before her tenure in the Senate, Collett worked as an attorney and a registered nurse, bringing a diverse range of professional experiences to her political career.
