London Lamar is an American politician and a dedicated member of the Democratic Party. She currently serves in the Tennessee Senate, representing District 33 since March 2022. Prior to her Senate appointment, Lamar was a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives from 2018 to 2022, where she represented District 91. Notably, during her tenure in the House, she made history as the youngest Tennessee State Representative in office. Lamar was appointed to the Tennessee Senate by the Shelby County Commission following the expulsion of fellow Democrat Katrina Robinson and was sworn in on March 8, 2022. Throughout her career, she has been known for her commitment to representing her constituents and advocating for progressive policies.
