Kent Leonhardt is a distinguished public figure with a diverse background in both military service and agricultural management. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fish and Game Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master's degree in Business Management from Central Michigan University. His career began in the United States Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, showcasing his leadership and dedication to service. Transitioning to civilian life, Leonhardt managed Misty Meadows Farm as a farmer, demonstrating his commitment to agriculture. He also worked as an independent consultant. Leonhardt has served as a State Senator in the West Virginia State Senate and is currently the Commissioner of Agriculture for the State of West Virginia, where he continues to impact agricultural policy and development.
