Katjana Ballantyne is a distinguished political and business leader with a robust background in both public service and corporate management. She currently serves as the Mayor of Somerville City, having previously held a position as a councilmember in the same city. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and German from St. Michael’s College and a Master's degree from Suffolk University, complemented by a High School Diploma from Westfield High School. Her professional journey is marked by her role as Chief Executive Officer at LEAP Self-Defense, Inc., as well as significant international roles such as Senior International Project Manager and International Operations Director at Stride Rite.
