Joshua Ivan McLaurin is an American politician and a current member of the Georgia State Senate, representing the 14th district, a seat once held by the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, McLaurin previously served two terms in the Georgia House of Representatives for District 51. Academically, he holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Georgia, as well as a Juris Doctor from Yale University. His professional background includes roles such as Law Clerk at the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Acting General Counsel at ExpressJet Airlines, and Litigation Attorney at Krevolin & Horst, LLC.
