We implore you to call for a worldwide ban against one of the most horrifying atrocities known as the dog and cat meat trade in Asia. Receiving global condemnation, one of the largest petitions ever recorded in history was that against this trade, as millions of Asian citizens scream for outside help. An estimated 30 million dogs and 10 million cats (mainly STOLEN PETS) are taken and purposefully, sadistically and mercilessly TORTURED prior to being barbarically killed by means of being blow-torched, skinned and boiled ALIVE for human consumption every year. It is based off a misguided belief that the more and longer you torture them, the more adrenaline rushes through their bodies therefore, making the meat tastier and increasing mens virility. The footage will bring you to your knees. As these animals are filmed screaming in unfathomable, incomprehensible pain, they are mocked, laughed at and even urinated on as they writhe in agony. On 9/12/18, the USA had taken a stand against this trade with the passing of both; H.R.6720 - Dog and Cat Meat Trade Prohibition Act of 2018 - A federal bill that prohibits the slaughter of dogs and cats for human consumption in the United States.                                   H.Res.401- A global resolution which urges all nations to outlaw the dog and cat meat trade and to enforce existing laws against such trade. Though every continent upon this earth rejoiced over this news, sadly, that is where it ended. The USA unfortunately did not follow through (utilizing these legislations) to in fact "urge" anyone. Now we have the Coronavirus to deal with which, is only the beginning of numerous infectious diseases that could potentially spread when you have lawless, unrestricted nations in regards to animal protection, their slaughter and consumption. Like the wildlife trade and live markets, the dog and cat meat trade is unregulated, violates every food and safety regulation and is associated with various transmittable diseases such as Rabies (killing 39,000 people in Asia annually), E. Coli, Salmonella, Anthrax, Brucellosis, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Cholera, Trichinellosis, putting us all at risk heading straight towards catastrophe.  The time is now, to call upon China and the rest of the world to ban the consumption of not only wild but domesticated animals too. To act solely upon one, without the other, permits only the next global pandemic to take root. The dog and cat meat trade is not about culture. It is not about eating meat. It's about prolonged, systematic torture. This brutality committed upon the innocent is so vile, so unconscionable, so shocking, it's an outright abhorrent abomination to millions of people,  to humanity and to God. Please call for a worldwide ban and the enactment of animal welfare laws. After all, they only put the entire world in jeopardy.    Thank you

Cut U.S. taxpayer funds for China's wet markets!

China's "wet markets" are gruesome and dangerous places, where wild animals—as well as cats and dogs—are slaughtered and eaten as food. These disease-ridden wet markets are linked to the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak and previous pandemics including SARS. Reports also indicate that in China experimental lab animals are sometimes sold to wet markets for human consumption, after being abused and infected! But here's the worst part: Your tax dollars have been keeping China’s wet markets in business for years. Last year, White Coat Waste Project (WCW) exposed how the U.S. government sent federal employees on taxpayer-funded shopping sprees at Chinese wet markets to buy cats and puppies. They then had them slaughtered, and brought their body parts back to the United States—in carry-on luggage—to feed to kittens in bizarre and wasteful multi-million-dollar kitten cannibalism experiments. We ended USDA’s shopping spree in China, closed its “Kitten Slaughterhouse” following an intensive campaign, and adopted out the survivors—including Delilah and Petite--to loving homes. Now must do it again …. across the ENTIRE federal government by passing Delilah’s Law (S. 3628)! Please sign and share this urgent petition urging President Trump to pass Delilah’s Law to cut off ALL tax funding for China’s wet markets. Sincerely, Anthony BellottiFounder and PresidentWhite Coat Waste Project

President Biden: Clemency for Federal Marijuana Prisoners

The CAN-DO Foundation and Freedom Grow Forever is urging President Trump to free every prisoner serving federal time for marijuana drug cases.  Not one person in the history of our nation has overdosed on marijuana.  Cannabis has become a billion dollar legal industry, for some, while others rot in prison for federal conspiracy cases - including people who thought they were compliant with the laws of their state for medical marijuana, but were indicted and convicted in federal court that refuses to recognize that cannabis has any medicinal properties. Please sign our petition and help raise awareness by sharing this petition to end the suffering of the following individuals who are currently incarcerated for cannabis.  It's shocking how many people do not believe there are people serving time, much less a life sentence for cannabis.  Countless people do not believe there are people serving time for pot, much less life without parole.  Therefore, we have included the names of several cannabis prisoners and a link to their profile pages. Most have individual petitions you can also access on their page, sign and share.    Michael Pelletier has served 14 years on LIFE without parole.  He became a paraplegic at age 11 and his state of Maine legalized pot in 2016 - age 64Crystal Munoz (NOW FREE- CLEMENCY GRANTED!  Diana Marquez is on home confinement due to the CVID-19 pandemic but still needs clemency.  She's a first offender who has served 14th year on 30 year sentence for marijuana - age 64 Ricardo Rojas has served 23 years on LIFE without parole - age 77 and in a wheelchair.

Pres. Biden and Congress: Ensure Afghan women’s rights alongside peace with the Taliban

My name is Nahid Fattahi and I know what’s it like to be marginalized and traumatized because of my gender. I am deeply worried that unless the global community comes together, the lives of so many women in Afghanistan will be at risk. And I’m here begging the world to join me in calling on the American government to #SafeguardAfghanWomenRights and #StandWithAfghanWomen In the past 19 years, Afghan women have made so much progress and have been both empowered and free. Afghan women want their freedom to be guaranteed and sustained alongside peace and a full ceasefire with the Taliban.  That’s why I’m asking for your signature today, demanding that U.S. leaders don’t sacrifice the rights and lives of women in any peace deal with the Taliban. We also demand that women and their perspectives be meaningfully included in all aspects of the peace process, in accordance with the Women, Peace, and Security Act of 2017.  The people of Afghanistan are yearning for peace, as the war in Afghanistan continues destroying lives due to the direct consequences of violence and the war-induced breakdown of public health, security, and infrastructure. But peace with the Taliban can only be concluded when the peace agreements are backed by measurable indicators ensuring women will have access to education, mobility, healthcare, and justice.  The peace agreement must explicitly guarantee the following:  All girls and women will be allowed education in schools and universities exactly as is currently in the big cities of Afghanistan. Including having the freedom to participate in student exchange programs, and other scholarship and fellowship opportunities Universities will not be segregated  Women will have political participation freedom: Right to vote and hold office At least 30% of parliamentarian seats must go to women. Women will have the freedom to work anywhere they desire without having to have permission of a male guardian  Women will have the freedom to travel anywhere they desire without having to have permission of a male guardian  Women must continue to be a part of the mass media and entertainment industry.  Freedom of the press and freedom of speech must be continued As a survivor of child marriage, I advocate for having legal frameworks to protect girls and women from violence. The Elimination of Violence Against Women Law (EVAW law) is very vulnerable and susceptible to compromise in the peace process. The Afghan women need a guarantee that their rights will not be negotiated with the Taliban. The EVAW law of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan enacting by a Presidential decree must be safeguarded. Stand with us, the women of Afghanistan, and ask President Biden, and the American government to work with us to make sure that Afghanistan’s peace that we desperately need can be achieved and sustained alongside our human rights.  Please sign this petition to make sure Afghan women’s rights are guaranteed and sustained alongside the potential peace with the Taliban.

We need your help reporting our hate so we can stop dying in silence.  Please urge Congress' immediate passing of the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act, created by AAPI politicians: Senator Hirono, Congresswoman Meng, and Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus Chairwoman Chu. The Act was created in May of 2020, and would expedite the federal government’s response to the rise of hate crimes exacerbated during the pandemic, support state and local governments to improve hate crimes reporting, and ensure that hate crimes information is more accessible to Asian American communities. It has now been almost a year since this bill has been introduced. There have been nearly 3,800 reports of hate incidents targeting Asian-Americans nationwide in the last year since March 2020, according to Stop AAPI Hate.  For over a year now, our mothers and our elders have been being publicly brutalized, attacked, slashed, targeted, murdered, shot, and dehumanized in silence. In the last five months, there have been 2,800 hate incidents reported nationwide alone. Hate crimes against Asian-Americans have also typically gone massively underreported out of fear and silence. On March 16, 2021, 8 people were shot and killed in an act of white terrorism in Asian-owned spas in Atlanta. 6 out of 8 of the victims were Asian women. The media does not call it for what it is: a racially-motivated hate crime and attack on Asian-American communities.  We need the immediate passing of the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act by Congress. We need your help in protecting our communities with providing proper infrastructure for effective, widespread hate crimes reporting. We urge all members of the New York House of Representatives who have yet to co-sponsor this bill to push the passing of this bill within Congress, as well as GA Senators Ossoff and Warnock. We urge President Biden, VP Harris, and every politician to strongly condemn these anti-Asian hate crimes and to make tangible, legislative change. We urge every human to sign this petition and help us demand the visibility we need to stand strongly against anti-Asian xenophobia and hate.

Help families combat the addiction epidemic

There is an epidemic of addiction sweeping the United States and we need every tool available to save our kids. A powerful tool is Casey’s Law. The law, recently passed in Kentucky and Ohio, allows families to petition the court to get treatment for a loved one who has refused to get help on their own. Addicts often refuse help, spiraling out of control until it is too late. That is what happened to Charlotte Wethington’s son, Casey. He died of a heroin overdose. Charlotte felt had she been able to get Casey court ordered treatment, he’d still be here. She is fighting to get Casey’s Law passed at the federal level. In the meantime, people across the country are trying to get Casey’s Law passed state-by-state. Too many people are not getting the help they need, and when you are in the middle of fighting a disease like addiction, it’s hard to make the right decision. Families and friends need Casey’s Law so they can intervene and save the life of someone they love. Without the law, all we can do is watch helpless as we lose more people to this epidemic. I started this petition to help bring Casey’s Law to all 50 states. This petition is calling on the state of Oklahoma, my home state, to pass Casey’s Law. No matter where you live, your support matters. The more states that pass the law, the more likely other states will follow. In turn, we hope it will inspire Congress to pass a national Casey’s Law.

Greyhounds are racing to their deaths worldwide

Across the globe, greyhound racing is a dying industry that is inherently cruel to dogs. When first invented in the United States in 1919, it could not be understood that thousands upon thousands of dogs would suffer and die. Records were not kept of track injuries or deaths, and the public could not know the final fate of racing dogs. Now the truth is out, loud and clear! Greyhounds are paying the ultimate price for a low form of “entertainment” that a growing majority of people will no longer countenance. According to government records now available, common racing injuries include broken necks and broken backs, dislocations, torn muscles, and paralysis. Electrocutions have also occurred when dogs make contact with a track’s high voltage lure. Some dogs die while racing while others are put down due to the severity of their injuries, or simply because of their diminished value as racers. Thankfully, the decline of greyhound racing has been ongoing for years. Since 2014, the total amount gambled on American greyhound racing has declined by 36%. Additionally, the number of tracks has been reduced to five nationwide. In the United Kingdom, the last London stadium has closed and like many dog tracks before it, will be re-purposed for mixed housing and retail operations. In Ireland, gambling losses of more than 30% have been reported in the last decade, and the racing regulator admitted it was €30 million in debt in late 2015. Jamaica refused to legalize dog racing in 2009 and South Africa followed in 2010, citing both the poor economics and humane problems associated with the activity.   The trend is definitely with the greyhounds and follows a growing concern for the welfare of all dogs which truly transcends national boundaries and cultures. Dog racing is legal and operational in seven jurisdictions. Please join us in contacting the leaders of Australia, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam today.  **PLEASE NOTE: might ask you to donate after signing.
