John Karl Fetterman is an American politician and social worker currently serving as the junior United States Senator from Pennsylvania, a position he has held since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, Fetterman has a long history of public service. He served as the mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, from 2006 to 2019, focusing on revitalizing the economically distressed community. From 2019 to 2023, he was the 34th Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania. Fetterman holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Albright College, an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard University. His professional experience includes working as a GED instructor at the Braddock Out-of-School Youth Program and serving with AmeriCorps.
