Joseph Xavier Carollo, known as Joe Carollo, is a Cuban-American politician affiliated with the Republican Party. He served as the Mayor of Miami from 1996 to 1997 and again from 1998 to 2001. After his mayoral tenure, Carollo took on the role of city manager for Doral, Florida, from January 2013 until his dismissal in April 2014. He was briefly reinstated in June 2017 before resigning immediately. In 2017, Carollo successfully campaigned for the Miami City Commission, representing District 3. His political career has been marked by his tenure as both mayor and city commissioner, showcasing his longstanding involvement in Miami's local governance.
