Jil Tracy is an American politician and a dedicated member of the Republican Party. She currently serves as a State Senator in the Illinois Senate, representing the 47th District, a role she has held since January 11, 2017. The district encompasses a significant portion of west-central Illinois, including counties such as Adams, Brown, and Hancock, among others. Prior to her tenure in the Senate, Jil Tracy served in the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 93rd District from her appointment in July 2006 until 2015. Tracy holds both a Bachelor's degree and a Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University. Her career includes service as an Assistant Illinois Attorney General and as a board member of the Brown County United Way. She has also worked as an attorney and director at the West Central Illinois Regional Office of the Illinois Attorney General.
