Jeb Bush, born John Ellis Bush, is an American politician hailing from one of the most prominent U.S. political families, the Bush family. Born in Texas on February 11, 1953, he is the second son of the late George H. W. Bush, 41st President of the United States, and the younger brother of George W. Bush, the 43rd President. An influential political figure in his own right, Jeb Bush served as the 43rd Governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007. He's recognized for his conservative policies, particularly in education reform, taxation, and criminal justice. In 2016, he sought the Republican nomination for the presidency but was not successful.
