Jason William Barnet Pizzo is an accomplished American attorney and politician, currently serving as a State Senator in Florida, representing parts of coastal Broward and Miami-Dade Counties since 2018. A member of the Democratic Party, Senator Pizzo has a robust educational background, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from New York University, a Master’s in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami. His legal career began as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the Gun Violence Initiative. Pizzo has also been an Associate at Stearns Weaver Miller and has clerked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. His diverse experiences have greatly influenced his legislative work.
