James Rodgers Jr. is an accomplished American football coach and former wide receiver, currently serving as the wide receivers coach for the New Jersey Generals in the United States Football League (USFL). A standout athlete, Rodgers played college football for the Oregon State Beavers, where he earned second-team All-American honors in 2009. After college, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent following the 2012 NFL draft and later played for the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League (CFL). His coaching career includes a stint as the outside linebackers coach for the San Antonio Commanders in the Alliance of American Football in 2019. Academically, Rodgers holds a Doctorate from Baylor University. Additionally, he has served as a board member at Leverett's Chapel Independent School Board, a small business owner, and a teacher recruiter for an international Christian non-profit.
