J.R. Claeys is a seasoned political figure with a robust background in communication and public service. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Kansas State University and a Master's in Public Administration from The George Washington University. Claeys began his career as the Director of Communications at the National Small Business Association and the Small Business Exporters Association. He then progressed to roles such as Regional Field Director at the Republican National Committee and Senior Campaign Advisor at Axiom Strategies, eventually becoming Vice President at the same firm. In public office, Claeys has served as a State Representative for District 69 in the Kansas State House of Representatives and currently represents District 24 in the Kansas State Senate. Additionally, he has been a Senior Advisor at the Kansas Attorney General's office.
