The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) is a global organization comprised of automotive manufacturers and their respective trade associations. Established with the purpose of providing improved quality products to automotive customers worldwide, the IATF focuses on the development of a standardized quality management system, known as IATF 16949. This system emphasizes the prevention of defects and mitigation of risks inherent in the supply chain of the automotive industry. By offering registration to this internationally recognized standard, the IATF seeks to ensure high level of quality management throughout the automotive sector.
