The House of Representatives of the Philippines is one of the two chambers that make up the bicameral legislature of the country, along with the Senate. It plays a crucial role in the formulation and passage of laws, and its members, known as Representatives, are elected every three years. The House is composed of district representatives, party-list representatives, and sectoral representatives. The number of district representatives is determined by the population of each district, while party-list and sectoral representatives are elected through a nationwide vote. The House also has the power to impeach high-ranking officials. All its activities are governed by the Constitution of the Philippines.
