HM Government

HM Government, or Her Majesty's Government, is the central governing entity of the United Kingdom. It consists of ministers who are responsible for implementing policy and running various government departments, all under the leadership of the Prime Minister. These ministers are appointed by the ruling monarch, upon the advice of the Prime Minister. The government is politically responsible to Parliament and constitutionally accountable to the monarch, representing the executive branch of the UK government, implementing policies, and enacting legislation passed by both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
