Heidi Carter is a dedicated public servant and accomplished professional with a diverse background in science and education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Duke University and two Master's degrees from the University of North Carolina: one in Medicinal Chemistry and another in Maternal and Child Health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. In her professional career, Heidi has served as a Research Scientist at Research Triangle Park and has been actively involved in her community as a Commissioner for Durham County. She has also contributed to the educational sector as a Board Member for Durham Public Schools and worked on the ground as a Substitute Teacher and Medical Assistant. Her extensive experience reflects her commitment to public health, education, and community service.
