Guy Joseph Guzzone is an American politician affiliated with the Democratic Party, serving as a member of the Maryland Senate for District 13 since 2015. He held the position of majority leader from 2019 to 2020. Prior to his tenure in the Senate, Guzzone represented District 13 in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2007 to 2015. His political career began at the local level as a Howard County Councilman, serving from 1998 to 2006. Guzzone holds a Master's degree in Public Management and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Government, both from the University of Maryland, College Park. He has also worked as a State Director for the Sierra Club, showcasing his commitment to environmental issues.
