William Gregory Steube, known as Greg Steube, is an American attorney and politician representing Florida's 17th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Steube's district is based in Sarasota. He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, representing the Sarasota-Manatee area from 2010 to 2016, and in the Florida Senate until 2018, covering Sarasota County and the western part of Charlotte County. Steube holds a Bachelor's in Beef Cattle Sciences and a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. Before his political career, he served as a JAG Corps Officer in the U.S. Army. Steube is dedicated to conservative principles and actively engages in legislative processes at both state and national levels.
