Greg Dickman is a Tea Party activist who, in 2010, sought the Republican nomination for the U.S. House of Representatives in Indiana's 3rd Congressional District. During the Republican primary, he competed against incumbent Mark Souder, car dealer Bob Thomas, and attorney Phil Troyer. An April 2010 SurveyUSA poll indicated that Dickman had 2% support among likely Republican primary voters. Ultimately, Souder won the primary with 48% of the vote. Following Souder's resignation in May 2010, a Republican caucus was held to select a nominee for the special election. Dickman participated in this caucus but did not receive any votes. State Senator Marlin Stutzman was chosen as the Republican nominee and subsequently won the special election.
