Grace Meng is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 6th Congressional District since 2013. Born in 1975, Meng is a member of the Democratic Party. Her district, located in Queens, New York City, includes areas such as Bayside, Flushing, Forest Hills, and Jackson Heights. She made history as the first Asian American elected to Congress from New York. Before her congressional tenure, Meng served in the New York State Assembly representing the 22nd District from 2009 to 2012. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, a High School Diploma from Stuyvesant High School, and a JD from Yeshiva University. Meng's career highlights her commitment to representing and advocating for her diverse community.
