Government of Nova Scotia

The Government of Nova Scotia is the provincial governing body for Nova Scotia, one of the four Atlantic provinces of Canada. With its legislative power vested in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, it operates under a parliamentary democracy. The monarch is the official head of state, represented locally by the lieutenant governor. Functions include implementation of legislation, regulation and administration of public funds and services. Its various departments and agencies work towards enhancing the region's economic development, health, education, justice, and transportation among other sectors.
