Fraser Coast Regional Council

Fraser Coast Regional Council is a local government area in the Wide Bay-Burnett region of Queensland, Australia, about 250 kilometres north of Brisbane, the state capital. It was established in 2008 by the amalgamation of the Cities of Maryborough and Hervey Bay and consists of four divisions, each electing a Councillor and a Mayor which represents the entire Council. Fraser Coast Regional Council's jurisdiction covers some notable landmarks and localities such as Fraser Island, Great Sandy Strait, and Burrum. The council administers various public facilities and services in the region and is committed to its long-term sustainability and growth.
