Frank Dean Lucas, born in 1960, is a seasoned American politician and a member of the Republican Party. He has been serving as the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma's 3rd congressional district since 2003, after initially representing the 6th district from 1994 to 2003. Lucas's district is the largest in Oklahoma and spans from the Panhandle to near Tulsa, covering nearly half the state's landmass. As of 2023, Lucas chairs the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. His extensive political career began in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, where he served from 1988 to 1994. Lucas is recognized as the dean of Oklahoma's congressional delegation, reflecting his long-standing service and leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives.
