Erin Maye Quade is an American politician from Minnesota, representing the Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL). She was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2022, making history as one of the first three Black women to serve in the Senate when she took office in 2023. Before her tenure in the Senate, Maye Quade served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. In addition to her legislative roles, she has been an Advocacy Director at Gender Justice, where she focused on issues related to equality and women's rights.
