The Education Ministry of India, formally known as the Ministry of Education (MoE), is a branch of the government of India responsible for the development and implementation of national policy, plans, and programs related to education. Headquartered in New Delhi, its chief function includes formulating policies and guidelines for primary, secondary, higher, and other levels of education, as well as for professional and technical institutions. It is also tasked with establishing national standards of education and ensuring access, equity, quality, and accountability in these systems. The current ministry also oversees various national institutes, boards, and other bodies that manage educational affairs across the country. The Ministry's activities are intended to foster educational advancement and literacy, thus contributing to the nation's overall social and economic growth.
