I have lived in Jackson, Missouri for many years and have always harbored a deep love for this town. My business, with its roots deeply intertwined with the community, depends on and contributes to Jackson's growth and wellbeing. Therefore, it became a personal initiative and mission for me to transform our town with a project that is healing, positive, and promises longevity: building Jackson's very first dog park.

The lack of a dedicated space for dogs and their owners in Jackson is something that is as apparent as it is remiss. Our community, bustling though it may be, lacks a focal point of gathering for dog owners where they can let their pets exercise, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors safely and freely. As a business owner vested in the future of Jackson, I firmly believe that the introduction of a dog park could usher in much-needed communal robustness.

According to a 2020 survey by the American Pet Products Association, over 67% of U.S. households own a pet. Jackson, as a representation of this national figure, deserves to have facilities that cater to its pet-loving populace. A well-designed dog park isn’t just an investment into the quality of life of our pets, but also serves as a catalyst for community interaction, growth in local businesses by boosting foot traffic, and even increases property values due to its appeal to potential homeowners.

Moreover, transforming a space laden with memories of pain or hardship into something meaningful and hopeful is essential. A space dedicated to dogs in our beloved Jackson can indeed be the cornerstone that binds our community and fosters positivity and healing for everyone involved. Imagine a vibrant, joyful place where we can connect, unwind, and create lasting memories.

Join me in making this vision a reality. Let's collaborate with local authorities, parks and recreation departments, and stakeholders to earmark and develop a location that can serve as the bedrock for our happy, healthier Jackson community. A future complemented by a dog park is a future where Jackson thrives.

Please sign this petition urging the local government of Jackson, Missouri, to allocate resources and proceed with the development of a dog park for the betterment of our town and its residents.
