Douglas McCrory is a seasoned educator and dedicated public servant with an impressive background in both education and politics. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Hartford, as well as a Master’s in Elementary Administration from Sacred Heart University. McCrory’s career in education includes roles as a teacher and vice principal at Lewis Fox Middle School, a teacher at Sarah J. Rawson Elementary School, and a vice principal at Capitol Region Education Council (CREC). He is also the co-founder of the Benjamin E. Mays Institute. In his political career, McCrory has served as a State Representative in the Connecticut State House of Representatives and is currently a State Senator representing District 2 in the Connecticut State Senate.
