Dexter McCoy is a dedicated public servant with a diverse background in education and governmental roles. He graduated with a high school diploma from William B. Travis High School and has since built a career focused on educational administration and public service. McCoy's experience includes serving as a Program Coordinator for Admissions at Boston University, where he contributed to shaping student experiences. He also worked as an Assistant to the Chief of Schools at the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), supporting educational leadership. Additionally, McCoy has held the position of Assistant Director for Social-Emotional Learning & Enrichment Programs at Fort Bend ISD. His governmental experience includes roles as a Special Assistant in the U.S. Department of Education and as Chief of Staff in the Office of the County Judge at Fort Bend County.
