Deputados estaduais

Deputados Estaduais are members of state legislative assemblies in Brazil. These individuals are critical policymakers, representing their constituents at the state level. Their primary role is to create, debate, and vote on state laws, although they also monitor state governments, make decisions on state budgets, and supervise the actions of the state executive branch. They are elected through direct elections and serve four-year terms. There are 1,059 of these deputies in total, with each state having a differing number based on its population size.
