Dennis Baxley is an influential figure in Florida politics, serving as a Republican member of the Florida Senate since 2016. Prior to this role, he was a member and former Speaker Pro Tempore of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 24 from 2007 to 2016, and earlier, District 24 from 2001 to 2007. His career in public service extends outside the legislature as well, with his roles as the Executive Director of the Christian Coalition of Florida and a board member of the National Right to Life Committee. Baxley is also a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating multiple funeral homes in Florida. His policy focus is predominantly on conservative values, including issues of abortion, gun rights, and education.
