Debra A. Haaland is an American attorney and politician serving as the 54th United States secretary of the interior. Born in Winslow, Arizona, Haaland is a member of the Laguna Pueblo tribe and made history as one of the first two Native American women to be elected to the U.S. Congress in 2018.
