Dean Benson Phillips is an American businessman and politician, born in 1969. He has been serving as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 3rd congressional district since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, his district includes the western suburbs of the Twin Cities, such as Bloomington, Minnetonka, Edina, Maple Grove, Plymouth, and Eden Prairie. Phillips has an extensive background in business; he was president and CEO of his family's company, Phillips Distilling Company. He is also a former co-owner of Talenti gelato and co-owns Penny's Coffee. Phillips has leveraged his business experience in his political career, focusing on economic development and innovation within his constituency.
