David Meade is an American politician and a prominent member of the Republican Party. Since January 2013, he has served as a representative in the Kentucky House of Representatives for the 80th House district, which encompasses Garrard and Lincoln Counties, as well as part of Pulaski County. As the Speaker pro tempore of the Kentucky House, Meade holds the second-highest position in the 100-member legislative chamber. In addition to his political career, he is associated with Lincoln Realty and Auction Company. Meade pursued higher education at the University of Kentucky and Lexington Community College.
