David Richard Evans is a prominent British Labour Party official and businessperson. He served as the General Secretary of the Labour Party from September 2021 to September 2024, having initially taken on the role in an acting capacity from May 2020. Evans has a long history with the Labour Party, having been its Assistant General Secretary from 1999 to 2001 and the Regional Director of the North West Labour Party from 1995 to 1999. He is also the founder of The Campaign Company, a political consultancy. Evans holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Webster University.
