David A. Anderson is a Canadian politician, lawyer, and former rower who has had a distinguished career in public service. He served as a member of the House of Commons of Canada and was the Minister of the Environment from 1999 to 2004. Anderson also held a position as a member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1972 to 1975. He is affiliated with the Liberal Party of Canada. Academically, Anderson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Western Michigan University. His varied career also includes roles as the Mayor of the City of Kalamazoo, Director of Housing and Facilities at Integrated Services of Kalamazoo, and as a building contractor.
