Consorci d'Educació de Barcelona is an institution based in Barcelona, Spain, providing educational services and resources in a district comprising of 73 municipalities. Established in 1991, it is a joint venture between Barcelona City Council and the Government of Catalonia. As a pioneering entity in Spain, it incorporates approximately 1,200 educational institutions including pre-schools, primary and secondary schools, and adult education centers. Its mission is not only centered around enhancing the region's educational services but also includes overseeing the construction, renovation, and maintenance of educational facilities, and managing school transportation and meals, amongst other responsibilities.
