The Conseil régional de Bretagne, or Brittany Regional Council, is the governing body of the Brittany region in northwestern France. Composed of 83 elected members, the council is responsible for regional planning, economic development, education, and transportation. It sets policies and budgets for the region as well as exercises considerable influence over other local authorities. The council is an essential player in the sustainable development and strategic planning of the region. The Regional President, currently Loig Chesnais-Girard, oversees the council's activities.
