Commission on Higher Education
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is a governing body that oversees and regulates all universities and colleges in the Philippines. Established in 1994, CHED's mandate includes formulating and implementing policies, standards, and guidelines for the higher education sector to ensure quality and accessible education for all. The commission also supervises the establishment and operations of higher educational institutions, grants financial assistance and scholarships, and fosters linkages between different sectors of education and other related agencies both locally and internationally.
