Cliff Stewart Bentz is an American lawyer, rancher, and politician currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Oregon's 2nd congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, Bentz is the ranking member on the House Natural Resources Committee Subcommittee on Water, Oceans and Wildlife and serves on the House Judiciary Committee. He began his political career in the Oregon House of Representatives, representing the 60th district, which includes parts of Eastern Oregon. He later served as a state senator in Oregon's 30th district. Bentz holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Eastern Oregon College and a Juris Doctor from Lewis and Clark Law School. He has also worked as an attorney at Yturri, O’Kief, Rose and Burnham.
