Chris Coursey is an American politician and former journalist currently serving as a member of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, representing District 3, since 2021. Before his role as Supervisor, Coursey served as the mayor of Santa Rosa, California, from December 6, 2016, to December 18, 2018. He has an extensive background in journalism, having worked as an Assistant City Editor at the Gazette Telegraph and as an editor and news columnist at the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. In addition, Coursey has played a pivotal role in community engagement as a spokesman and community outreach manager for the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit. His leadership qualities were also evident during his tenure as a council member and mayor in Santa Rosa.
