Camara Municipal

The Camara Municipal, also known as the City Council, is a fundamental component of local government administration in various Lusophone countries like Portugal, Brazil, Angola, and Mozambique, among others. Its primary role is to oversee the functioning and development of a town or city, including education, housing, budget implementation, urban planning, and cultural programs. It comprises of elected officials, with its leader, the Mayor, being the highest-ranking officer who takes responsibility for executing municipal policies and fulfilling the needs of the community.
