Barry Hovis is a dedicated public servant and entrepreneur with a strong background in law enforcement and agriculture. He earned his high school diploma from Greenville R-2 High School. Hovis has spent a significant portion of his career with the Cape Girardeau Police Department, where he served in various capacities, including Public Information Sergeant, Jail Administrator, Support Services Lieutenant, and Patrol Officer. His commitment to public service led him to become the State Representative for District 146 in the Missouri House of Representatives. In addition to his public service roles, Barry Hovis is a successful business owner, managing a logging business as well as a hay and feeder cattle farm. His diverse experience reflects his dedication to his community and state.
