Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. that serves as a hub for medical education in the United States. Established in 1876, the AAMC connects all 154 accredited U.S. and 17 accredited Canadian medical schools, approximately 400 major teaching hospitals and health systems, and 93 academic societies. The Association works collaboratively to promote quality healthcare by advancing medical education, research, and patient care.
