Andy Levin is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 9th congressional district since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he succeeded his father, Sander Levin, who retired from Congress in 2019 after 36 years of service. Before entering politics, Levin worked as a human rights activist and labor organizer. Notably, he served as the Chief Workforce Officer for the state of Michigan, prior to holding the position of Deputy Director at the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth. His political focus areas include labor issues, wage laws, healthcare, and climate change.
