Andria P. L. Tupola is an American politician and current member of the Honolulu City Council, where she represents the 1st district since January 2021. A dedicated member of the Republican Party, she previously served as the representative for District 43 in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 2014 to 2018. During her tenure, Tupola was the minority floor leader for a year and became the first Samoan woman to serve as the state house minority leader. In 2018, she ran as the Republican nominee for Governor of Hawaii, securing 33% of the vote. Tupola holds a Doctorate and a Master's in Music Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a Bachelor's in Music from Brigham Young University, and she has taught music at Leeward Community College.
